Developing effective, accessible and free psychological treatments ...

The eCentreClinic is a specialist research unit and a not-for-profit initiative of Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia

We comprise a team of psychologists, psychiatrists, statisticians, research staff, and students. Our work is funded by research grants and donations.

We conduct research developing and evaluating online treatment courses for people with a range of common mental health difficulties and chronic physical health conditions. We built the eCentreClinic because millions of people suffer with these difficulties and conditions each year. But, most do not seek help or are unable to access effective psychological treatment and care.

We aim to improve access to, and the quality of, psychological treatment and care via the academic research we conduct and publish. To date, we have developed more than 15 different treatment courses, and conducted more than 100 clinical trials involving more than 10,000 people. We have also published more than 150 academic research papers based on our research work.

We aim to share what we learn as widely as possible so that clinics and research teams around the world can learn from our work - as we do from theirs. We also collaborate widely with clinics and research groups within and outside of Australia.

We have also freely licensed our treatment courses to several clinics and research groups in Australia and overseas with the hopes of helping them with their important work.

You can learn more about the individual members of our team here.
